The spring 2008 EASY Investment Forum took place in Barcelona from the 21st to the 23rd of April at the prestigious International Conventions Centre of Barcelona.

The event, included in the local annual Investment forum (XIV Forum d’Inversió), hosted by CIDEM (Centre for Innovation and Business Development of Catalonia) was organised by 22@, HGP, and BANC and registered the participation of more than 1,000 visitors out of which more than 100 were European private investors and venture capital funds.

21 selected European companies from Med-tech, Healthcare, Media & IT and Cleantech sectors were presented to the Investors and 20 more were able to display a video presentation.

On the 21st of April, the selected companies were involved in a coaching session to fine tune their pitch presentation. Foreign investors and entrepreneurs were also welcomed to an evening cocktail at the Barcelona City Council.

On the second day of the event, April the 22nd, the selected European companies presented their activities with a pitch presentation to over 100 qualified early stage investors from across Europe and to over 300 investors from Spain.

After the presentation stage, on the third day the 23rd of April, entrepreneurs had the chance to encounter investors interested in their potential businesses (one to group), in cross border syndication meetings, to lay the foundations for actual future business partnerships.
