On the 25th and 26th of February the first EASY Investment Forum of 2008 took place in Milan, Italy, at the Conference Centre “Palazzo delle Stelline” Corso Magenta 61, Milan, hosted by META Group, AIFI and IBAN.

22 companies from Med-tech and Healthcare, Design, Transportation and logistics, Cleantech, selected by a Panel of European Experts, presented their activities to over 150 qualified investors, business angels, seed funds and VCs, from across Europe, interested in early stage finance.

The event has drawn a great deal of attention exceeding expectations with more than 250 participants and more than 90 requests for follow-up in terms of possible future investments.

On the first day, the selected companies have been involved in a coaching session to fine tune their pitch presentation. In the evening a welcome cocktail with more than 180 participants was organized in the prestigious location of the Residenza Vignale to provide investors and companies with a first opportunity to interact.

On the second day of the event, February the 26th, the 22 European companies presented their activities to over 150 qualified early stage investors from across Europe leading to more than 90 expressions of interest from investors for possible future deals.

On the second day, a parallel session “Marketplace exhibition” was organised for “price winning” Italian start-ups, involving 15 companies, not backed by any business angel and/or venture capitalist, that were given the opportunity to illustrate their business ideas in the “Marketplace Exhibition”.
